Daniel Birnbaum is a creative director & studio director with 20 years of broadcast and corporate experience, along with over 14 years experience leading teams of creative professionals in brand management, art direction, managing budgets, P&L, mentoring and developing talent, project management, technology research and investment, and leading creatives to produce top quality multimedia products within timely, efficient delivery schedules.
With background experience as a director, director of photography, finishing editor, motion graphics designer, 3D animator and visual effects artist, Daniel also enjoys digging in on the artwork and pushing creative teams to new heights.
Daniel has been working in broadcast & corporate production since 2000 following graduation from Penn State University with a bachelors degree in Media Studies: Film & Television. After working as a staff editor for six years at Henninger Media Services, Daniel transitioned to freelance in 2007 where he regularly completed assignments on Adobe After Effects & Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, Autodesk Smoke & Flame, Avid DS and Cinema4D.
Daniel has produced spots, short form and feature length work for various clients including Bridgestone, Sony Retail, Tirerack.com, H-E-B, McDonald’s, Shell, The Dallas Cowboys, Rent-A-Center, Furr’s, Zaxby’s, Car2Go, Interstate Batteries, Subway, Frito-Lay, Ford, Fiat, Georgia Aquarium, National Geographic, Bennche, Discovery Networks, PBS, National Parks Service, Community Trust Bank, ACLU, Defenders of Wildlife, Dallas Convention and Visitors Bureau, South Carolina Realtors and North Carolina Association of Realtors. Daniel has also produced and finished ads for federal and statewide political campaigns including Presidential, Senatorial, Gubernatorial, Congressional, Mayoral, and other locally elected positions.
Daniel is an experienced Arri Alexa operator, having also worked extensively with Canon and Sony cinema cameras, RED digital cinema and DSLR camera systems.
